Broken vehicle with no repairs in sight! Come on Nissan Clearwater!!

At this stage, the rating remains a 1, until such time that clarity can be received from the dealership in question. I hope it can. Our broken down 2020 Nissan X-Trail , 4 years old with limited mileage, 55 000km on the clock was towed into Nissan Clearwater on Monday, 17/02/2025. It must also be mentioned that the vehicle is still within the 150 000km, 5 year factory warranty. We have been pushed from pillar to post with regards to the repairs of the vehicle and told that it is seemingly the ECU that has died but further investigation needed to be done and that the car would be stripped on the 21/02 to achieve this. We have since not been kept up to date, 10 days later, with no family vehicle to get around, increased Uber costs, a cancelled family breakaway.

The dealership is also trying to avoid repairs/replacement under the warranty and saying that due to the 60 000km service not being done they are not sure if the warranty will cover the costs. It must be noted that the vehicle was to be serviced the end of February 2025 but broker down before this could happen.

The fact that we are not being updated and silence from Nissan Clearwater is VERY concerning and leaves us with little to no comfort in Nissan and the future of our vehicle.

Monday will be 3 weeks that my vehicle has been with the Nissan Clearwater and even after the above and having received a case number from NIssan SA the repairs have not been complete and I remain carless!! I have also left several messages on the Nissan SA whats app number where I was promised a call back from Monday but have not received such. All I'm asking for is simple service from Nissan SA and Nissan Clearwater, it can't be that difficult or complicated! Nissan Clearwater provides me with very little information when I follow up via email in writing which leads me to believe that I am being misled or misinformed about the severity of the repairs to the vehicle or that the workshop is actually unsure of how to complete the repairs, this is very frustrating and concerning!
Come on Nissan, I really expected better! This has left me with a very bitter experience and it would be very difficult for me to purchase another vehicle from Nissan or make such a recommendation to anyone I know. I really wish this could have been a different outcome!
