Be careful before you buy the new Nissan Qashquai.

I just want to inform anyone who is considering buying a Nissan QASHQAI 1.3T ACENTA + XTRONIC (2022) to think carefully. The cost to of the car is R****, but the cost to replace a front door is R70k! That is not labour included or anything else, just the part. We bought the car November 2022, in March a luxury estate gate closed on the left door and dented it. I was quoted R18k for the panel beating job. A few days later I was informed by the panel beater that the door is made from aluminum and cannot be repaired and we must buy a new door. They estimated R35k, the quotation came back from Nissan as R70K!! Even the panel beater was super shocked and said they have never replaced such an expensive door. That is 13% of the total cost of the car. I took it up with Nissan SA to get a reduced price and best they could do was the complaints call centre telling me there is nothing they can do about it. Think twice before you buy a Nissan Qashqai as it might cost you far more than you expect if any repairs are needed!!!
