Bad Service - Gateway

I am still struggling to have my vehicle repaired. I received the vehicle on Friday with the carpets having been lifted and not replaced back. The central locking also did not work and there are new scratches on the vehicle. Metal of the chassis is visible, yet the Nissan \Specialist"signed it off for delivery? The vehicle still has the same problematic symptoms. They have now turned around and said that the problem is due to the catalytic converter having been removed. Really... the catalytic converter is only there to reduce CO2 emissions. It has nothing to do with igniting the engine. I know have to bring the vehicle back to spec as it was sold new. Is this because they don't know what to do and need to get themselves out of the mess? Well the NCC will deal with them and bring the ivory tower down to a fall."""

Hello tazz101,

Thank you for taking the time to make Nissan aware of the matter and we take note of your comments. Kindly note that we are fully aware of the matter pertaining to your Nissan vehicle. As discussed with Monica Gouws please note that your Nissan vehicle has not been serviced by a Nissan approved service centre and therefor it was noted that your vehicle has been fitted with non Nissan components. The alarm system fitted to your Nissan vehicle is not a Nissan approved fitment and the catalytic converter was removed. As per the discussion we would suggest that your Nissan vehicle be taken back to the standard specification to enable McCarthy Nissan Gateway to address the outstanding concerns.

Kind regards,

Sharnie MALAN
