Nissan humansdorp worse service ever
I would like to share my horrible experience and regret using Nissan Humansdorp.
Me and my Fiance bought a new 2020 nissan hardbody np300 2.5D 4x4 from Nissan Humansdorp. At time of collection of vehicle we did not receive the paperwork signed with the relevant sales advisor which we thought would just be emailed to us. This did not happen and had to remind the sales advisor which already bugged us but wait it gets worse.
After the first viewing vehicle on floor I found a paint damage at the driver door edge and mentioned this to the sales advisor which he said was just dirt but we decided to let it slide. Remember this is a brand new vehicle.
After the first 25km we picked up a knocking metal type sound from front of vehicle on certain angles we then mentioned this to the sales advisor who sold us the vehicle.
As we stay about 300km away from dealer we drove home finding the vehicle fuel gauge droping very quickly and when we got home our fuel reading was half a tank on 305km so again we made contact with the sales advisor and in which he was going to speak to his workshop and relevant people and come back to me with a answer. Couple days went past and had no response had to mention this again to the salesperson and the service department gave me a phone call to which I explained we are not in a hurry but if you can sort it out as soon as you have a opening please let me know and if possible if a driver can collect vehicle and just leave us a vehicle to use. Her response was certainly and will let me know but wanted us to go to a different brand dealership which did not make sense as if a fault was present how woukd the certian part be replaced and claimed by a dealer which is not a Nissan dealer so I did not agree and declined the proposal idea and said she wil come nack to me as soon as she can help me. Now a month has gone by with no call back and we are experiencing more problems with vehicle.
When using handbrake we noticed a lot of play pulling on handbrake before it locked the wheels and let it go for now. Then after paying more attention to the radio we found the left front speaker is not working at all and again mentioned this to the dealer.
Starting to get fed up I called the sales advisor and explained to him al the found problems and sounds from the vehicle which I said if the vehicle is going to cause more problems I'm demanding a new vehicle money back.
Then the dealer principal of the dealer called me and explained me that I need to use a fuel log for about 4 full tanks which calculate to about 2500 km later and almost 6 months later as we drive about 10km a day. I was not impressed and the way we are being treated as clients who just bought a brand new vehicle without any assistance so I laid a complaint at Nissan SA which contacted the dealer. I was called and emailed with when I can bring the vehicle to them and I responded to demand they pay for my fuel as the vehicle has ****m on and a list of problems which a new vehicle should not be present with. They declined the proposal and demanded for a vehicle as well which I was told I would have payed for but will have to use my own fuel. I wanted to get vehicle fixed and thought the dealer would've put the vehicle as a priority as to it not even having a 1000km on yet but suprised again I had to wait a week and a half before they will have a look at the vehicle. Completely disliking the vehicle already and no confidence in vehicle I called the Nissan dealer in Port Elizabeth to where I spoke to workshop manager. I've explained my situation with the vehicle and wanted to know if he would be able to help. He responded that I can bring thr vehicle to them and thry will start working on it immediately. Wow I was completely suprised at the service I got from him and going out of his way to help me. When I arrived I was welcomed by the most friendly staff and team. My vehicle was booked in 5 minutes and the workshop manager went on a test drive so that I can identify the concers. Without any excuses from him with regards to fuel logs etc the vehicle went straight to the workshop. My rental car was already waiting.
The following day the vehicle was done and on collection I was addressed with the concerns I had. They have attended to all the faults and assured a complete inspection has been redone which was supposed to be done by nissan humansdorp.
My suspension noise from the first 50km was due to a fail in part im the suspension which was replaced and not correctly inspected by nissan humansdorp
The fuel consumption was sorted out and all my programming was redone on the vehicle.
The radio speaker which was not working they found the connector in the speaker harness to be bent inside and this concludes not working from delivery of the vehicle.
My suspension noises was sorted out and a complete check up and handbrake was adjusted correctly which was confirmed was not done by nissan humansdorp.
My fuel consumption driving back home for about 300km went down substantially and I'm getting the claimed consumption as advertised and not half of that.
I have sent nissan sa and nissan humansdorp a email with please explaining to me how he promised me the vehicle was inspected correctly and how was this vehicle roadworthy with all its faults.
Me and my fiance was treated as people who do not know how a motor vehicle works or how to use one. I personally are a qualified technician and worked for numerous Top rated dealers and never experienced the poor and relentless attempts by nisssn humansdorp to look after their customers.
I am sharing my horrible experience to hope that someone else does not fall into the same situation as me.
I have canceled my appointment with nissan humansdorp and would not recommend their services.
I have received the most amazing and friendly service at nissan port elizabeth that I have ever experienced and would recommend them any day.
Hope my situation helps someone else from happening to them.
