Standard Bank / Nimble Group

This group has been contacting me for at least 6 months and from yesterday 9 times looking for a Miss S. Velo or a P. Saloma (not certain about the spelling) - Apparently Standard Bank, African Bank and a place that sounds like NBA have approved loans to these people with my cellphone number as a contact. My question is this: are they not supposed to verify cell numbers via OTP before granting loans? Are there not procedures in place to check cell phone numbers? Or are these procedures just for "certain" people. My next thought is this: my husband has an account at Standard Bank - so my details will be on their system too. Are Standard Bank officials granting loans to "bogus" people using contact details of clients? I would love to do that investigation..... Who granted these loans, what is the ID of these persons and does that person really exist???? None of this info will be given to me, because there are laws protecting ********s. How am I now protected in all of this?
