Nimble Group complaint

Good afternoon, I am a Nimble staff member and I have a concern regarding our current work arrangements. As I am typing this email we are expected to return to work tomorrow. My worry is that I am not perfectly fit healthwise. Previously they gave us laptops and made arrangements to work at home which was perfect for me. Now they want us to go back to work simply because they are worried about the company's stats and productivity, our lives and health mean nothing to them even though they can see that this pandemic and Western Cape's cases are increasing extremely. They don't even consider the fact that some staff members use public transportation and have to take about 3 different taxis to get to work under these extreme lockdown rules. They are even threatening us about disciplinary hearings if we are not at work tomorrow, this was from the HR manager Tami. I am pleading with you to please intervene and help because I fear for my life and my health come first. Please do help me. Thanking you in advance

Dear Nobom Mlambo Thank you for raising your concerns on Hello Peter. While Nimble is working very hard to ensure that our office is COVID-19 safe for some of our workforces to return to office as allowed under the current Government lockdown regulations, we do understand that not every person may feel comfortable returning to the office.  We will never force any employee to return to the office and we have communicated alternatives to all our staff.  We would like to resolve this misunderstanding urgently.  Unfortunately, we are not able to identify who you are so we ask you to urgently reach out to your dedicated manager to deal with COVID19 concerns, Carol Mpanjukelwa.  We have also alerted our COVID-19 compliance officer and the Head of Human Capital of your concern.   All the relevant contact details are in the staff communication that went out on 29 May 2020.

Trust the above is order

Dear Nobom Mlambo

Nimble is working very hard to ensure that our office is COVID-19 safe for some of our workforces to return to office as allowed under the current Government lockdown regulations. We do understand that not every person may feel comfortable returning to the office, having to engage with various modes of public transport.  Nimble is very proud that it has been able to keep all our staff across four countries in Africa engaged during the lockdown.  We would like to resolve your concerns urgently.  Unfortunately, we are not able to identify who you are so we ask you to urgently reach out to your dedicated manager to deal with COVID19 concerns, Carol Mpanjukelwa.  We have also alerted our COVID-19 compliance officer and the Head of Human Capital of your concern.

Good afternoon, I would just like to state that nothing was resolved and also you did not give us options to choose whether to work at home or at work. All you guys want is for me to reveal my self so that you can deal with me according. I still feel unsafe and the offices are cold with all the air conditioners which is uncomfortable for me. I really feel like all you guys care about is coming in to work and not our health as this is serious. If this matter is not sorted out I will have no other option but to resort to other forms of media as I fear for my life and I put my health first.

Thanking you
