Misleading Call and Unprofessional Conduct

I received a call from a woman who asked if she was speaking to Tholakele, to which I responded yes. She then claimed she was calling from Cell C and proceeded to ask me to confirm my ID number.

When I asked her to repeat what she had just said, she abruptly dropped the call — which immediately raised red flags for me. Suspicious of the interaction, I called the number back and discovered that the call was not from Cell C, as she claimed, but from Nimble Collection.

I find this deeply concerning and misleading. Misrepresenting yourself as calling from another company is not only dishonest, but it also creates confusion and distrust. If Nimble Collection is calling regarding a legitimate matter, the agents should identify themselves truthfully and treat the person on the other end of the line with respect.

This experience left me feeling deceived and very uncomfortable.
