Assaulted by News Cafe Staff

On Friday 1 September 2017 I went to News Cafe in Sandton with my colleagues. We were preparing to leave and wanted to pay our bill,I went to the bar area to look for our waitress, I asked one of the first waitresses I found, unknown to me she was standing with the manager, I asked for my waitress by name and I am not sure what the waitress said but it upset me and I asked for the manager and the guy she was standing with said that he is the manager and told me to **** off. I was so shocked I took out my phone to record and he slapped me in the face which led to my phone landing on the floor. Then there was a lot of commotion and I am not sure how this waiter got involved and he told me to be afraid and to run away, he tried to punch me and I held his hand and bit him his hand. He then punched me on the left side of my face. The rest of the staff that was there then held him back and I stood with the bouncers, the manager came towards me and I stood behind the bouncer, he told the bouncer to take this "fat thing" (referring to me)out of his club, I think that he was drunk because he was slurring his words I didn't believe that he was the manager but the waitress said he was actually the owner of the club.The bouncer didn't listen to him and kick me out I assume it's because he knew that I had done nothing wrong and he saw all the events of what happened. The manager was clearly looking for a fight so I just stood behind the bouncer. I got out of the situation because my colleagues husband saw me and asked me were his wife is. I then rushed to the restroom to call my colleague. There were ladies in the restroom that saw the whole altercation and they immediately asked me if I was okay and told me they saw the whole thing,one of ladies also mentioned that she thinks that the staff is probably drunk because even if I had done something wrong that is not an appropriate way to respond to a customer. I also think that if I was really at fault the bouncers would have picked it up and kicked me out of the club or intervened in some way. I am now looking for the names of the waiter that punched me as well as the manager that slapped me to lay charges of assault on them. I still have some swelling behind my ear and I'm still in pain from the whole thing. I have videos on my phone of the manager slapping me and the waiter threatening me by telling me to run away. I am in talks with a lawyer to find out what can be done with News Cafe because I or anyone else cannot go to a News Cafe and get beaten up by the staff, who knows how many times this has happened at this establishment before and people haven't come out about it. The staff were so comfortable to quickly resort to violence with a customer I am sure they have done it a number of times before. The staff at News Cafe Sandton takes advantage of the fact that people are drinking and think that they can say and do anything they please because they think people are drunk and at the end of the day they use that as a defense and get away with it. On a different note, my waitress who's name I have forgotten was great and that is the only reason why I didn't just leave without paying for my bill because she would have been responsible to pay, and that would have been unfair.
