My deposit refund
I was a tenant at your property, Unit 44, Protea Complex, Olievenhoutbosch. During my tenancy, I repeatedly reported a serious rat infestation. The rats were entering the house through the water pipes, causing damage to my belongings, including my couch, sound system, and my children’s food and snacks. Despite reporting this issue on numerous occasions, my complaints were not taken seriously. I even pleaded with you to meet me halfway so that we could resolve the problem because I genuinely loved living at the property and wanted to remain there. Unfortunately, no meaningful assistance was provided, and no proper inspection was conducted to address the source of the infestation. When I moved into the property, I was required to pay a double deposit, which I paid in full. Eventually, due to the ongoing rat infestation and the damage it caused, I had no choice but to vacate the property. I provided one month and two weeks’ written notice, which exceeded the one month’s notice required under the lease agreement. It has now been more than 14 days since I vacated the property, yet I am still being given excuses regarding the refund of my deposit. This is unacceptable. What is even more concerning is that the property has already been advertised for new tenants without the underlying infestation problem being properly resolved. I would not want any other family to experience the same situation that my family .

Beware of New Dawn Property Group in Centurion
Beware of renting through New Dawn Property Group. We signed a contract, paid an R18,000 deposit plus R2,000 in fees, only for the agent to call us two weeks before move-in to say the owner changed their mind and cancelled. We are now being forced out of our current home with packed boxes and paid movers, yet this agency refuses to refund our R20,000. It has been over 4 weeks with zero commitment to paying our money back, and they cannot even produce proof that our deposit is in a legal trust account. Appalling service and a complete breach of a signed legal contract.

Beware of New Dawn Property Group in Centurion
Beware of renting through New Dawn Property Group. We signed a contract, paid an R18,000 deposit plus R2,000 in fees, only for the agent to call us two weeks before move-in to say the owner changed their mind and cancelled. We are now being forced out of our current home with packed boxes and paid movers, yet this agency refuses to refund our R20,000. It has been over 4 weeks with zero commitment to paying our money back, and they cannot even produce proof that our deposit is in a legal trust account. Appalling service and a complete breach of a signed legal contract.

New Dawn Property are *******
Do not deal or make use of these people they ***** your deposit money and refuse to pay it back. They are full of excuses, they are unhelpful and blame the owner of the property and can also not provide proof that your deposit is paid into a trust as it is required by law. They make you sign a lease and cancel right before you have to move in and then refuse to give back your deposit money.

Do not deal or make use of these people they ***** your deposit money and refuse to pay it back. They are full of excuses, they are unhelpful and blame the owner of the property and can also not provide proof that your deposit is paid into a trust as it is required by law. They make you sign a lease and cancel right before you have to move in and then refuse to give back your deposit money.

Beware of New Dawn Property Group
Same thing happened to one of my clients. They were approved to rent a property in Centurion area, paid a deposit and admin fee and one week later the owner cancelled the lease, leaving my client without deposit and admin fee. The best is that New Dawn Property Group could not provide proof that the deposit was paid into an interest bearing trust account, as per their Fidelity Fund and PPRA duties, meaning that they have missappropriated trust funds, same being a ******** offence. A case has now been opened against them. BEWARE of them.

Unfair practice
I am very unhappy with the service I received from your company. You listed a house for rental, I app**** and was approved. After viewing, I paid the deposit, rent, and admin fee. On the same day that I made payment, I was informed that the owner had given the house to someone else. I expected a full refund under these circumstances, but instead I was told that the admin fee would be withheld. This is unfair because I am not the one who broke the contract. The experience has left me feeling misled and disappointed, and I believe your handling of the situation was unprofessional.
