Continuous Fibre service downtime
I’m from Villa Lisa and recently left a review about Xtend Fibre. At first, they blamed network outages on municipal delays, then on batteries, and now they’re claiming vandalism. What’s frustrating is that for the past week, the network goes down every night at 19:00 and only returns the next morning around 07:50. This has been going on for three months with a new excuse each time. They will shift the blame onto the company digging for fibre in the area. As a community, we’re fed up with their empty promises. Stay away from Xtend Fibre in Villa Lisa we paid for a service we barely received.

15 Oct 2025, 08:36 Good day, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We completely understand your frustration and sincerely apologize for the ongoing inconvenience experienced in Villa Liza. Please note that the updates we’ve provided are not excuses but accurate, real-time communications regarding the circumstances affecting the network. Initially, the issue stemmed from a power supply problem at the original site. To minimize downtime, we relocated our equipment to a new location to stabilize the connection. We are still awaiting the municipality to restore full power to this site. In the meantime, we are cycling batteries to keep customers connected for most of the day. Unfortunately, this process results in brief downtime periods, typically in the mornings and afternoons, while the batteries recharge. If your connection is offline for longer than these expected periods, please log a ticket with support [at] netxtech.co.za so our technical team can investigate your specific line. Additionally, recent vandalism to parts of our network infrastructure has caused further disruptions, which our field teams are actively repairing. We want to assure you that we have no reason to misrepresent the situation—our priority is restoring full, reliable service as quickly as possible. Our teams are working continuously to resolve these external challenges and prevent future interruptions. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
