I commented on a article appearing on Netwwerk24 Sunday 8March re: a Mother and her terminally ill child being evicted from their house. I had to register as a user, which I did. Following that I started getting emails from Network24 spamming my email address. There is nowhere on these emails where I can unsubscribe neither in the user settings a place to unsubscribe. I phoned their office on Monday. I was assured this matter will get attention. After no change in the number of spam emails that continued filling my mailbox two day later I decided to phone again midday today. despite the operator taking all my details for a second time, nothing has yet changed. This practice of Network24 is contrary to the POPI act. Network24 should at least allow for an opportunity to unsubscribe by choice. Also they should be in a position to immediately remove someone from their database when their call-center is contacted. Something I find really unacceptable from such a huge corporation.
