UNNECESSARY PENALTY - TRACKER

I know this company by the name TRACKER. It provides tracking service on motor vehicles and I've been a faithful Tracker client for many years on all my cars except one which was a Classic Mercedes Benz for which I approached Mix Telematics' Beame product.

I purchased a third motor vehicle which I used as a luxury and which I did not really need some 10 months ago and had a Tracker unit installed. Recently my health deteriorated and my wife and I will be moving to a retirement village as a result. I have therefore decided to sell this third car (to Webuycars) which I did two days ago. I got a surprise when I wanted to cancel the Tracking service.. When you sell a car before the '3 year contract' you need to pay a substantial penalty. Effectively this, sort of, means that you should not sell your car. In the beginning of this year when I sold my Classic Merc, Mix Telematics did not even flinch and cancelled the service forthwith. And this was for a first time client. Makes you think, doesn't it? It almost makes me think that this is equal to me charging God a penalty because my health started deteriorating before I could reach 70???

I just think that it is totally unfair to expect a person to buy another third car so that, that third car could get a Tracking unit.
