TRACKING DEVICE DRAINING CAR BATERRIES

TRACKING DEVICE DRAINING CAR BATERRIES I believe you are duping your customers and taking advantage of poor South Africans. On January 08, 2026. I woke up to a dead car. Battery completely flat. I couldn't even use the mobilizer to open the car. This NEW tracking device was installed mid 2025. (1) Red flag number: Why did Netstar not contact me that my car battery died? I had been driving my car everyday, prior to the dead battery on Thursday. Befuddled, I imagined something was wrong with either (a) the batter or (b) my car. I went to a battery center, the battery was indeed dead, but they charged and it was fine afterwards. A week later I went to the car service centre, for a diagnostic on my car they said nothing is wrong with my car. I asked them to check the battery, the battery was at 63%. I ended up buying another battery. Clearly, something was draining my car battery. So scared and confused, I genuinely thought something was direly wrong with my car (but undiagnosed). And started contemplating selling my car. Because the service center cannot find any fault, yet my battery is dying. To which unfortunately, I did sell it to WeBuyCars. MY SHOCK CAME WHEN I NOW COME ACCROSS SO MANY REVIEWS HERE ON HELLOPETER, SAYING THAT YOUR TRACKING DEVICE HAS BEEN DRAINING CAR BATERRIES. THIS MEANS THIS IS AND HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE, AND YOU ARE CHOOSING TO IGNORE IT (some of these reviews go as back as 2024). (1) The reviews surely made you aware that something is wrong with your tracking devices. In case you were not aware, BUT now you cannot plead ignorance, because your customers have reported the issue. (2) The least you could have done was to contact clients with these new devices and tried to change them (By my observation, all issues started when each client had a NEW device installed. Similar to my case. This was a new device, on a new contract). (3) How do you not contact clients when their battery die? What if I was in an emergency? (4) If indeed you have "investigated" the issue as you claim, what have you done in addressing it?

You are operating in bad faith, debiting us every month, while you know your device is sucking our batteries dry. I am not angry, I am heartbroken. I put my car's safety and by large my life in your hands, and had been a loyal customer, yet you can be silent on a matter of this gravity? It is really painful. Hence, I said you are duping your customers, making them pay for a device that is killing their car batteries. You are endangering the lives of your loyal customers. Something needs to be done about this. Somewhere, I believe you are breaking the law by choosing to ignore this problem.
