THE WORST AND MOST DISHONEST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER

Netstar's service is the worst ever experienced. They are not transparent in their contracts and are also dishonest in how they deal with their clients. We were introduced to Netstar in Jan 20 by our Car Insurance Provider and was happy with what they were offering and decided to have them install their tracker in 2 of our cars in Jan 20. The payments for Netstar were going off from our insurance premiums which we were paying to our Insurance Provider, so we never had any agreements in terms of debit order nor signed any contract with Netstar. In August we sold one of the cars and contacted the Insurance Provider who informed us that they would no longer insure the car and that we needed to inform Netstar so that they could disable the tracker in that car. When we called Netstar, we were informed that our contract was for 36 months and that we would have to pay a cancellation fee before they could disable the tracker and cancel the contract. We agreed and they informed us that they would email us an invoice with the amount to pay. Being the reliable provider they are, nothing happened for the next 3 months, instead they began debiting our account. When we called to enquire as to what we were paying for, we were informed that it was for the tracker of the car we no longer owned. We reminded them that we were still waiting for the invoice regarding the amount to pay and the answer we received was that the process of cancellation takes long and we'd have to wait. We obviously disputed the debit order and requested that they stop debiting our account. That did not stop and it was now also followed by numerous threatening messages that our account would be handed over to the legal department. Each time there was a debit order or a sms, we would call and it was always, 'we will look into it' or 'we will escalate it'. That continued like that to June 21 when there was a debit order for R1011 and when we called again to enquire, we were informed that our account was now with the legal department. We got hold of the legal department and a Mr Stanley Goliath assisted us. He was able to email 2 x invoices with different amounts, one was for R1500ish and the other was R2200ish. We agreed to pay the R1500ish one. We then agreed that since they had already debit the R1011, we would have to pay the difference between the two, which came to just over R500. Mr Stanley also guaranteed that once the difference was paid, the matter would be settled. Being the honest company they are, Netstar did not cancel the contract. We found out in Aug that we still owe them R1011 and being consistent on taking people's money, there was a debit order that came out. We called again and were informed that the settlement amount of R1500ish did not include the R1011 that had already been debited in June. We obviously requested to speak to Mr Stanley regarding this as he was the one who we dealt with, he's since not been contactable and the matter was handed over to someone else. We requested that they do an investigation into the matter and listen to the recording with Mr Stanley. They did that and emailed it to us and now they claim that the settlement was raised after the debit was sent. Why didn't Mr Stanley say that? Why send us a settlement amount that is incomplete and if so why wait 3 months to say that there was a mistake. We are now being treated as if we didn't want to pay Netstar and they are not taking responsibility for their dishonesty in dealing with the matter. Now that we have the recording, we will use it to prove that they are not honest in their dealing with clients. What is even worse is that our other car still has the Netstar tracker installed and honestly if it wasn't for the fact that we fear having to go through the same terrible experience if we cancel the contract, we would have done just that. We can only take comfort in knowing that we don't have to deal with Netstar as our Insurance Provider is the one paying them. And obviously once the damn contract ends, we have no intention of having any dealings with Netstar.
