Shoddy Customer Service -Removal of Device after Cancellation - causing battery drain.
I had cancelled my Netstar subscription on 30/10/2018. This was due to them not responding when the alarm went off. I discovered they had two cars on their system of which I had cancelled my previous car when transferring the account to my current car. I cancelled the account as they were not responding to the alarm going off on numerous occasions. That was all settled and i had forgotten to follow up and get the transponder removed. on the 22/10/2019 I contacted them to remove the device as it is draining my battery of my vehicle. I was told that i had to pay R287.50 to have it removed. ( ridiculous, but had not choice) I made payment on the 22nd and was told it will take two day to process. Nothing happened. On 28th I made contact and they said the received confirmation of payment and that a fitment centre would contact me. Nothing happened. 29th I contacted them and they gave a 3rd different CAS number, stating that they will contact the Durban office planning to arrange a technician. All the while my battery is being slowly drained. (This has been confirmed by a Bosch dealership where i had taken my car for a service recently) I have had to jump start my vehicle and too much of this is going to cause battery damage. If the battery needs to be replaced due to their shoddy customer service and turn around time after I have made the payment, then it will be for their account and I will go to all means to all social media sure this happens. All I want is this device out of my car. Simple. Do your job Netstar.
