Netstar - Zero chance in an amaergency apparently
My 22yr old daughter was hijacked, abducted, driven into Alexandra and ****** at gunpoint on 18 March. I alerted Netstar when I received bank notifications of attempted cash withdrawals. What followed was a harrowing experience and very little help from Netstar. 1. They asked me the car registration!!! WHAT!!! 2. They repeatedly told me they'll call me back rather than just keeping me on the line to advise as to the situation - this leaves you helpless. They apparently did call back, but my line was busy, they have NO record of my return phone calls. 3. When my daughter was let go, with her car thankfully, she pressed the panic, repeatedly is not even accurate, more like non-stop for around 40 minutes. Netstar apparently NEVER received any panic alert. 4. I am told that they recovered the car in Edenvale - this was actually them finding her at home 15 minutes after she had made her way back there, she took around 20 minutes to find her way out of Alexandra, got on the highway in the wrong direction, made her way to Edenvale via the M2, then N3, so she made it home some 30-40 minutes later. When I called to query this sequence of events, I got through 6 people before someone could answer my questions, in that: they couldn't get through when calling me back that night, they never received a panic alert and they apparently do have the registration number so they're not sure why I was asked for it over and over again. The call was cut off after 30 minutes on the phone, I was unable to reach anyone again when I mentioned cancellation, coincidence perhaps. So, NETSTAR - thank you for ZERO help through this trauma and for not even being able to answer my questions after the fact. P.S. Installation is 4 months old - Installed November 2025, EARLY WARNING INCL. PEACE OF MIND
