Netstar hand you over for nothing

Imagine being with a company for 10 years and when you mail them to cancel the unit because the vehicle is sold, they ignore you. The next communication sent to you is from their lawyers saying you have been handed over for an amount outstanding? Hello Netstar? Have you lost your minds? Not a word to say I owe you money, just hand me over. When eventually get hold of someone, I need to pay another months fee as cancelation because someone was too lazy to cancel the unit when I requested?
