Netstar Damaged My Brand New Car!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Netstar during a tracker installation on my newly purchased VW T-Cross.

The vehicle was purchased on 2 June 2026 and a Netstar technician attended on 4 June 2026 to install a tracker. I was informed that the installation would take approximately 15 to 30 minutes. Instead, the process took several hours, from around 1:00 PM until after 5:00 PM.

During the installation, the technician damaged an interior panel of the vehicle. What is particularly concerning is that the damage was not immediately disclosed to me. When I checked on the progress of the installation due to the excessive delay, I discovered that the panel had been broken.

To make matters worse, an attempt was made to repair the damaged panel using silicone, which left the interior looking worse than before. This is a brand-new vehicle and I cannot understand why the panel was being handled in a manner that resulted in such damage.

The situation has caused significant inconvenience. I had planned to travel and show my parents the new vehicle, but those plans had to be postponed while this matter was being addressed. I have also attempted to obtain quotations for the damaged part, only to discover that the part is not yet readily available as the vehicle model is still relatively new.

I would like Netstar to urgently investigate this matter and provide a suitable resolution. As a customer, I should not have to deal with damage to a brand-new vehicle as a result of a tracker installation.

Case Number: CAS-***0-V8C7

Individuals involved: • Technician: Motseotsile Lokothwayo • Manager: Thato Buthelezi • Master Technician: Tshifhambano

I request that Netstar treat this matter with urgency and provide feedback as soon as possible regarding the replacement and repair of the damaged interior panel. I am currently being inconvenienced due to a situation that occurred during a service appointment that should have been straightforward and professionally handled.

For the avoidance of any doubt, I have evidence supporting the concerns raised in this complaint.

This includes photographs of the damaged interior panel, photographs taken during the installation process, details of the technician involved, the technician’s work email address, contact details of the responsible manager and additional documentation relating to the incident.

I am prepared to provide this evidence directly to Netstar should it be required as part of their investigation. My intention is not to unfairly criticise anyone, but rather to have the damage caused to my vehicle acknowledged and resolved appropriately.

I trust that Netstar will review this matter thoroughly and provide a prompt resolution, particularly considering that this is a newly purchased vehicle and the damage occurred during a routine tracker installation.
