Keep away from Netstar
I received a threatening SMS from a company called Hybrid in May of this year regarding an instruction from Netstar with respect to an outstanding balance. After contacting Hybrid they informed me it was for a vehicle which I actually sold over 10 years ago. I then investigated further and provided Valencia Steph**** of Netstar the email trace of where I actually cancelled this contract with Netstar in August 2018. To this date I have had no response from Netstar but yet I was continuously hounded by Hybrid. I eventually gave in and instructed Hybrid to debit my bank account the so called outstanding balance which I actually didn't owe. Today I received a SMS stating that Netstar had provided my personal information to another company called NuDebt Management, I am still waiting feedback from this company now as well. I will not pay a further cent. Netstar obviously have extremely bad record keeping systems and don't even have the courtesy to respond to email where proof is provided. I can highly suggest that no one uses this company rather look at other providers. Netstar try your luck I will take you to court this time if I have to!!!

05 Oct 2023, 15:03Netstar's latest response is typical of this company. The time of the response here was at 11:35 but yet I received a confirmation of cancellation email at 11:32. After over 5 years they finally cancelled the account. This morning I received this SMS from NuDebt Management whom I believe Netstar contracted " Warning! a registered Credit Bureau received a default alert on ur name due to an outstanding NETSTAR acc.", I really don't appreciate these types of threats especially when the fault lies at Netstar. I am now awaiting details of Netstar's Information Officer as I have issues with Netstar providing my personal details to a third party without my consent. I will be referring this to the applicable POPIA regulator. As per my original post I would highly suggest that you stay away from Netstar. By the way Netstar, it would have been nice to at least receive an apology for your poor record keeping!
