Hyundai Durban South and Netstar

I purchased a new vehicle from Hyundai Durban South in June 2025. The car already had a Netstar tracker installed prior to me visiting the dealership for a new car which I only found out after I indicated my interest in the specific vehicle on the showroom floor. When I advised Hyundai Durban South I have my own insurance and won't be requiring the tracker I was advised it's not a problem, and I can keep the device at no cost. Since there was no pressure. I made furyher enquiry with Hyundai on my next vidit when collecting the car, to look into the cost of their offer for discounted rates on vehicle insurance through Dot sure with Netstar being the Sister company. I was contacted by a sales lady from Netstar via email and with assistance from Hyundai Durban South to assist me with logging on to the Netstar app to view it's features. After this day, I then got other comparative quotes and decided to go with another insurance company. I received a phone call on the 16th of July at 13h47 from a lady at Tracker. I advised her that I am not activating the tracker. She was unfriendly and advised me I must take it up with the dealership as I have to pay for the tracking device. I advised her that I cannot pay for something I never asked to be installed. I explained to her the tracker was already installed in the vehicle prior to me coming to Hyundai to purchase a new vehicle. Our discussion ended abruptly. I then sent an email to the sales lady at Netstar advising her I am not signing up for Tracker. Today on the 1st of August my bank account was debited for R488.53 which I did not authorize or provide by banking details for. I find this type of practice highly ********* and expect a full refund within a week failing stronger action will be taken against Tracker, Hyundai Durban South and the bank that allowed ths unauthorized debit.
