Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Service from Netstar

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Netstar’s service. In all honesty, this has been one of the most useless tracking services I have ever experienced.

Since Friday, I have repeatedly tested my panic button, and I have received absolutely no response. Today, I pressed the panic button again and still received no response. I then had to call Netstar’s emergency line myself because, quite frankly, what is the point of having a panic button if I cannot rely on anyone responding when I activate it?

I spoke to a lady named Busi, who instructed me to go to my vehicle and press the panic button again while she tried to establish whether they were receiving a signal. Even then, there was no response from the unit.

This is extremely concerning. A tracking system and panic button are not supposed to be decorative features — they are supposed to provide security and peace of mind, particularly in an emergency. If I have to call your emergency line myself and explain that my panic button isn’t working, then what exactly am I paying for?

And this is not the first time I have questioned whether the system actually works.

I recently took my vehicle to Tiger Wheel & Tyre to have my battery replaced. The battery was removed from my vehicle, yet there was no response from Netstar whatsoever. I did not receive a notification, alert or any indication that the vehicle’s battery had been disconnected.

That is extremely alarming for a tracking and security service.

If someone were to tamper with my vehicle, disconnect the battery and potentially attempt to ***** it, I would expect a security system that I pay for every month to detect this and alert me. Instead, there was absolutely nothing.

The problems don’t end there. My Netstar app frequently shows “Location not updated,” meaning I cannot even reliably see the location of my own vehicle. I have had ongoing issues with the tracking system, and in the almost two years that I have been a Netstar customer, my tracking unit has already been replaced three times.

Three replacement units in less than two years should tell you something is seriously wrong with either the equipment or the service.

What I find particularly frustrating is that why is it my responsibility to constantly check whether a service that I am paying for is actually working?

I should not have to repeatedly press my panic button to see whether Netstar will respond. I should not have to open the app and check whether my vehicle’s location has updated. I should not have to discover for myself that the system may not be detecting a battery disconnect.

I am paying Netstar to provide a security and tracking service. It should be Netstar’s responsibility to ensure that the equipment and monitoring service are functioning correctly — not mine to constantly test and troubleshoot it.

I have been patient with Netstar, but my patience has run out. I should not have to continuously test a panic button, contact your emergency line myself, deal with tracking information that isn’t updating, and repeatedly have equipment replaced.

This is not the level of service I expect from a company that I am paying to protect my vehicle and, ultimately, provide assistance in an emergency.

So I have to ask: What exactly am I paying for?

Because at this point, I cannot confidently say that my vehicle is being properly monitored or that I would receive assistance when I actually need it.

I would strongly advise potential customers to think twice before signing up with Netstar. My experience has been nothing but frustration, repeated technical problems and a complete lack of confidence in a service that is supposed to protect me.

Netstar needs to urgently explain:

* Why my panic button is not responding. * Why my vehicle location repeatedly shows “Location not updated.” * Why there was no notification when my vehicle’s battery was disconnected. * Why I have had to replace the tracking unit three times in less than two years. * And, most importantly, what exactly I am paying for if I have to constantly check whether your service is actually working.

At this point, I have zero confidence in the reliability of this service, and I believe Netstar needs to take accountability for the service they are providing to paying customers.
