Completely unacceptable

Hellopeter MENU Completely inept A review of Auto And General by Tarryn F on 17 Aug 2018 Like Share Comment Report Supercharge Convert Completely inept Two weeks ago I called Auto and General to enquire as to why Netstar were debiting my account with payments for the last 4 months as Auto and General were supposed to be paying them directly. I was told that Auto and General were paying that amount and Netstar would refund me the amount.

With no payment made in two weeks, I again called Auto and General. I was put on hold while Netstar were supposed to clarify. After holding with no response from netstar, I called again and asked to speak to Netstar, again no answer. I was then called by Auto and General and informed that Netstar was requesting proof that money was deducted from my account by them.

This is completely unacceptable.Firstly, I never authorised Netstar to deduct any money from my personal account. Secondly, I do not have time to go to the bank to request and pay for 4 months bank statements. Thirdly, netstar can clearly see that they have debited my account without looking at my bank statements. This was verified By Auto and General themselves. I sent an email to them on Wednesday, with a response that I would have an answer in 24 hours. I called today and was told I would hear back from them by 13h00. I called them this afternoon and was told that the money was deposited in my account this morning and will reflect in 7-14 days. A few minutes later, a lady called to say that what I had been told was incorrect and that the outstanding payment was from a car which I no longer own (sold 3 years ago) Now I need to find a voice recording /cancelation of my policy from when the car was sold!!! I have never dealt with a company who gives so many different responses after being transferred from one dept to another. I have just recently moved to Auto and General and am already considering moving back to my previous employer. I want MY money back in my account and will take this further if need be. Taking money from an account without permission is theft, pure and simple
