Bad service and no response

I have had a Netstar tracking device in my vehicle since November 2012. This was a 36 month contract. I phoned on Monday to test the unit and a consultant phoned me back the next day to say that they were receiving no signal from the unit but he also noted that the contract had expired and I needed to upgrade and have a new device installed. I was never informed of the contract expiring and have been paying for the last 9 months for a device that does not even work. The consultant informed me that there was a fifty/fifty chance of the unit being disconnected when the contract expired. What does that mean? Surely someone should have phoned me and informed me of the contract expiring or else the unit would be disconnected. Very conveniently I have also not received a statement since the contract supposedly terminated. I have requested cancellation of this account with immediate effect and a refund of the last 9 months premiums, this is ****************. I have sent a letter to the customer care line and have not heard a word from anybody. I refuse to pay another cent to you people.
