Altech Netstar never ceases to disappoint

In late 2013 I had a tracker installed as it was an insurance requirement. In 2014 my car was ******, I had to sign an agreement to pay nine thousand rand before Netstar would dispatch a helicopter. The car was recovered, and ****** again, I did not inform altech netstar, as I could not afford another nine thousand rand. I was struggling financially, and made what payments I was able to, and was constantly harassed with being blacklisted. Now in 2018 nearing the end, and in a better position, I started making bigger payments, and requested a settlement figure. After many many e-mails requesting statements and a settlement figure without any response at all, I eventually scoured the internet and e-mailed every address linked to Altech netstar, and eventually received a response from legal bad debt administrator, Alvina Mashiane, who advised:" In relation to your mail below, please be advised that the outstanding balance on the above account was R 4 476.89 and we have received payments from you amount to R 1 200.00, therefore the remaining balance is R 3 276.89." to which I rep**** that I would like a statement as my calculations indicate that around one thousand rand remains outstanding, her response: "The arrears R 2 585.00, plus Settlement amount of R 1 891.89 which is the remaining of the contract in your case was 21 months when the account was handed over due to none payments, Total amount R 4 476.89, the contract expiry date would have been 07 October 2016. "I rep**** that I did not understand, since my insurer purchased the unit, and again requested a statement, she explained "please find the attached statement that includes the settlement/unit price in your vehicle, the statement that you have send was before the account was handed over to the Bad Debt Department, as the customer no longer qualify to be on a 36 months contract, hence we have included the remaining months of the contract on the account."

How does the outstanding amount suddenly change the closer i am to finally paying it off? Why was I billed R85 per call, for calls I never received? Why was I never notified of this, when my e-mail address has remained unchanged for years? I am happy to settle according to my calculations, and the last statement I received which was Feb 2018, but refuse to pay the extra amount. I am truly shocked at such bad service

Good day I received a call right after posting this review, promising that someone would follow up with me. I have received no follow up, only a number of spam smses not relating to this complaint, that I did not sign up for.

Guess what, after many more e-mails, no response from netstar, netstar is just not interested in resolving anything, thanks for nothing! Even a complaining does absolutely nothing, but let me skip a payment, and suddenly they know my e-mail address and phone number, get a grip guys, this is sooo bad for business
