When a company makes you cry day before your bday

Absolutely shattered and discussed with these people.. If I can give it 0 I would. I have placed an order on the 25th November 2022 for the 1st December delivery. I have ordered personalized item for my office year end function plus a cake for my birthday which is 1st December. On the 30th November, today, I check the order to make sure everything is on schedule only to be advised that-there is no stock. So from the 25th November till 30th November, nobody notified me, not one mail was sent to advise a way forward or to even discuss refund. If I knew, I would have made alternative plans. Now, a day before my bday I am told nothing is coming and I need to make a plan at 3PM? Wow just wow!
