V-day mess: Lost my order, wanted me to place a second after charging for first order (unhelpful), then didn't have stock after order accepted and wanted me to substitute order next day
I placed an order first thing on monday morning for a Valentines gift to be delivered on V-day (wednesday). The charge goes off, but I received an email with a black invoice and an error that says order can not be found.
I called the call center to ask if the order was on their system, and the call center agent replies that the order can't be found. So I asked what the way forward is, and the agent replies that I need to place the order again using the EFT option, and then send proof of payment to their accounts department. To this I respond that their proof of payment email was blank, and the only otther proof I can offer on such short notice is a screenshot of an SMS from the bank, which won't suffice. Spent the next (almost) hour on the phone trying to fix the situation while the agent both acknowledges that there isn't a valid proof of payment available, and that I should place a second order and send proof of payment for the first to their accounts department. I asked for the manager, and eventually they're able to find my original order on the system. No idea why they didn't just do that in the first place.
Next day, being the day before valentines, they phone me and say that they no longer have stock of what I ordered and I need to pick something else. I'm livid at this point, because the only reason I used netflorist in the first place was for convenience, and for the very specific item I ordered.
This has been a horrid experience. Don't use netflorist.
