Terrible service and false advertising

I selected a delivery date last week, a few days prior to the requested delivery date. Subsequently, their website sent me a pop up message saying "Oops, that delivery date is full, please allow us to deliver on (another date mentioned) and we will throw in a free box of lindt chocolate". I was amenable to this and selected the proposed date.

On that delivery date, my order arrives without the chocolates. I complain on social media, as this amounts to false adverti*****t and essentially, breach of contract. Their social media person then responds: "oops, this is only for orders over R250.00". Firstly, my order was over R250.00, secondly, this just shows that they don't do the required research before responding. Thirdly, this was a blatant attempt to diminsh me as a customer, showing that orders that aren't over a required limit don't receive the attention expected from a company such as Netflorist.

I then e-mail my complaint and I am promised that a manager will get back to me. It has been a week and I have not heard anything from any person at Netflorist, never mind a manager. Shocking customer service. I don't care for the chocolates, it's a matter of principal. If you state something, then deliver. I have subsequently reported this to the Consumer Commission, as they even have a giant billboard on Sandton Drive advertising same, yet they do not follow up with their promises.
