Poor Delivery Management

I made a purchase of a birthday gift to be delivered to my father, when the driver reached the address my dad was not home. the driver proceeded to try to deliver to a neighbor but the neighbor was confused and said that the recipient is overseas's. Instead of contacting me directly the order was sent back to the branch. Netflorist proudly offers same day delivery but does not have good procedures in terms of carrying out that promise. I should have been contacted rather than taking information from a 3rd party. If i had been contacted it would have been possible to deliver the item during the afternoon deliveries but now my gift will arrive a day too late. I am really not please that my gift was not delivered, as i wanted my dad to feel special on his birthday since i am not with him to celebrate. Also when I called the call centre eventually to find out what happened to my gift, the call centre assistance was not very sympathetic or helpful. I had to even prompt her to find out what happens next to the gift. If this is the service they promise then i will rather not partake of their services in future.
