Overseas delivery botched, twice!! Promised refund not received
On 12 September, I ordered a bottle of Macallan whiskey and chocolates from Netflorist online, to be delivered to my daughter in Swindon, UK on 14/09 . I received confirmation via email (and online) that the gift had been delivered. It had not. I contacted Netflorist and on 18/09, they advised there was an error with the third party provider and that the parcel had not been delivered. They then organised delivery for 19/09. What was delivered was a GBP27 bottle of Old Pulteney rather than a GBP73 bottle of Macallan (prices from drinksupermarket.com). I contacted Netflorist immediately. On 20/09 Candice Arens from Netflorist advised the 3rd party couldn't source the Macallan and my daughter could keep the cheaper whiskey and they'd give me half my money back. I told them I wanted a full refund and they could collect the incorrect items. A week later, I have still not received my refund and my daughter still has the incorrect gift.
I asked Netflorist what measures they have in place to make sure their third party provider actually delivers. I have not received a response. What if this was a funeral, and there was no-one to call to check the delivery was made as promised. There was also no correspondence from Netflorist about the change in the content of the order. If my daughter hadn't sent me a picture of the gift, I would have been unaware that the wrong item was delivered. How many people are paying for orders that are not actually being delivered? And how much longer do I have to wait to get my money back?
