No delivery made on anniversary

I placed an order on the 1st November for delivery on 2nd November. 2nd November been our anniversary. No delivery was made on the 2nd November. When i call the customer care number they said the driver tried to make delivery after 6pm. Dont most companies close at 5pm? Luckily though the business my wife works at closes at 6pm and they still could not make the delivery in time. If my order was placed on the 2nd i could maybe understand it not been made on the same day, but i purposely placed an order on the 1st November to make sure there was sufficient time.
