Netflorist - expensive, and wrong delivery
This post is born from frustration and annoyance with corporate companies in South Africa. Today's storytime is about Netflorist.
My friend and I ordered doughnuts and a lavender plant for a friend based in Cape Town after a loss in her family - a R700 order.
Firstly, when ordering these two products, which are being delivered to one address, Netflorist charged me twice for delivery; R89 and R35. Why? Because they can!
Secondly, I received an email stating that the order was delivered on Tuesday 14 June at 12:30pm. When I checked with the recipient, she said she was home the whole time and received nothing. During a grieving time, this friend had to walk down to security and try to figure out where her delivery went. With no luck, I started fighting with Netflorist on Facebook because I emailed their client service on 14 June too, and I still don't have a reply to it!
We figured out that the delivery went to the wrong complex and a random lady took the delivery from the WRONG security. As seen in the chat below, the driver went back to double-check. How does this happen when the recipient's cell number is on the order? Even my number was on the order?
I am annoyed with myself that I didn't instead just use Checkers 360 or bought spoils myself and Posnet it to her. Watch out for Netflorist guys - I now need to spend time and energy trying to get my refund back after THEIR administrative mistake.
