Left gift with someone other than the recipient without confirmation

I was very disappointed last week Wednesday( (30/09/2020). I ordered roses and chocolates for my boss and when the delivery person didn't find the recipient she left my gift to someone else in the office without talking to me first. My gift was being past around the office with people taking pictures with it. I was really upset with the fact that it's covid-19 times and for my boss's gift to be handled by so many hands before it reached her is unsafe.
