Bitter Mother's Day Disappointment 2017

Oredr number: ********** 19 ~ After hearing all the wonderful Netflorist radio advertising, and having been very happy with all past online orders, I decided to order my Mother's Day gifting, prior to 10 May, with Netflorist. My Mom would receive a free box of Lindt chocolates and there was a great selection of gifts to choose from. I chose a personalised Cooking with Love Chopping Board from my husband and I, and a personalised Grans Are Moms S****, from my children. The advertising was very clear: Orders needed to be placed prior to 10 May, and must be valued at over R250, excluding the delivery fee. I placed the order on 9 May. The chopping board was R349.95 and the s**** was R169.95. So only one box of free Lindt chocolates, but still a lovely gift. I had to pay for two deliveres, as it was explained that the gifting items did not come from the same supplier. so I paid R139.90 in total, for the deliveries. I typed-up seprate Mother's Day gift messages, for each of the two gifts. Both gifts were delived the next day, on 10 May. Total cost of the order: R659.80. However, there was no complimentary box of Lindt chocolates, and no gift message, on either of the gifts. At first, was Mom was actually a bit confused as to who had actually sent the gifts, as my sister lives in Seattle, and perhaps she had been the sender. I called Netflorist on Friday, 12 May and asked why no chocolates and no gift messages? The call centre consultant was very kind and apologetic and explained that in the Cape, Netflorist uses different couriers, hence, no free Lindt chocolates. I told her this was false advertising, as well as *********. Enticing people to use Netflorist, and then not explaining all the terms and conditions. With regards to the lack of gift messages, the consutant said she would arrange for the items to be collected from my mother, and re-wrapped, with the messages. I exlained that I did not see the point in this, and that this could actually be a little upsetting for my Mom, for the gifts to be taken away. The consultant then promised to send my Mom a complimentary bunch of flowers. I thanked the consultant, called-up my Mom and told her to please expect another Netflorist delivery. My Mom was very excited. On Sunday, I called-up my Mom, wished her Happy Mother's Day and asked whether Netflorist had delivered anything special. Unforunately, nothing had arrived. I checked again on Tuesday morning, hoping that perhaps the flowers had finally been delivered. Still nothing. I called-up Netflorist, for a second time, on Tuesday, 16 May. I spoke to another very nice consultant. I explained the whole story, again. The consultant did some checking on the system and apologised profusely. Nothing had been done on their side, but he was going to escalate. My Mom was going to receive her complimentary bunch of flowers, and I was going to receive a complimentary voucher for R100, to use towards my next Netflorist order. I called-up my Mom, again, and told her to please expect a Netflorist delivery. I allowed for 48 hours, and then checked-up with my Mom. Still nothing. I called my Mom again this morning, once again hoping that Netforist had finally made the delivery. My Moms words: Please don't worry. It's not your fault and you musn't waste any more of your time and money. Thank you Netflorist for a most disappointing Mother's Day experience. For both myself and my Mother. After spending over R650, making numerous phone calls and all the stress involved, in order to make one very special Mom feel loved and important...I can't believe that this is the very same company (Netflorist), which I have consistently voted for, in the annual Best of Joburg Awards. But sadly, no more! Please keep the complimentary flowers, which you have promised (twice) to send to my Mom, as well as the complimentary R100 voucher, which I did not ask for, and have yet to receive. I will not be using Netflorist, ever again. Louise Churches
