A Company That Profits From Special Moments But Fails To Deliver
I am writing this out of absolute disappointment, frustration, and disgust at the pathetic level of service provided by NetFlorist regarding what was meant to be a very special occasion for my wife and me. The 06th of May 2026 marked our 27th Wedding Anniversary. I specifically wanted to surprise my wife at her workplace with flowers and chocolates. This was important to me because I am not someone who generally uses delivery services. I would rather physically go to a store, select what I want personally, and hand it over myself. Unfortunately, I trusted NetFlorist to handle something meaningful, and that decision turned out to be a complete mistake. Your platform offered a “Same Day Delivery” option. Same day means the SAME DAY — not excuses, not scripted apologies, not hidden terms and conditions, and certainly not no delivery at all. The order was placed at approximately 08:15am on 06 May 2026. At 08:30am, my wife received the following SMS from your company: “A little birdy told us that there’s a surprise being delivered to Bidvest Facilities Management, Bidvest Facilities Management, 1 Meersig Building, 269 West Avenue, Die Hoewes, on 06/05 between 7:00am and 20:00pm. ***”
Imagine the embarrassment and disappointment caused by your company. My wife spent the entire day expecting a special surprise for our anniversary, only for absolutely nothing to arrive. Not even the courtesy of proactive communication from your side. To make matters worse, your management team — including Anne, Laitetia, Bernard, and yourself — took absolutely no accountability for this disgraceful failure. Instead of acknowledging the emotional significance of the occasion and your company’s failure to deliver on what was promised and paid for, your team simply hid behind terms and conditions like a scripted machine with no understanding of customer service. This is not just poor service. This is a complete failure of professionalism, integrity, and basic customer care. NetFlorist markets itself around special moments, celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, and meaningful occasions, yet when it truly matters, your company fails dismally. You cannot market emotions and memories while operating with such little regard for the people trusting you with important moments in their lives.People should seriously reconsider using NetFlorist. My advice to anyone is simple: Rather support your local flower shop, pay a delivery fee directly to them, or go to Woolworths and personally handpick your flowers and chocolates for your loved one. At least then you know there is genuine effort, accountability, and care involved. NetFlorist appears to care about one thing only — MONEY. Your company had one job on one important day, and you failed completely.
