My first time claiming and WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Took over an hour to get authorization for an emergency consultation due to a fractured heel-immense pain and no urgency. We eventually were seen by a doctor who sent us for X-rays-which we had to pay in cash and claim. The doctor's report stated crutches as well as a speed brace would be needed, the authorization department was off duty and could not give additional authorization for the hospital to give this to us.

we left with the script/recommendation for crutches and speed brace and went to Dis-chem and purchased these together with the pain meds.

The doctors report recommended an Orthopaedic Surgeon, a few days later together with a guarantee of payment we had an appointment with the surgeon who requsted payment upfront.

It has now been almost a month and I am being sent from one person to the next, for weeks with no solution in sight.

I am so disappointed in the service we have received and will be cancelling my policy.
