A Heartfelt Appreciation to Netcare Alberton's Incredible Nursing and Kitchen Staff
A Heartfelt Appreciation to Netcare Alberton's Incredible Nursing and Kitchen Staff ❤️ I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to some truly remarkable people at Netcare Alberton who have made my current hospital experience a little easier and more comforting. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge Linda Sibeko, the nurse who has been caring for me. Linda is incredibly kind, loving, attentive, and compassionate. Given what I am currently going through, having someone who genuinely cares about my well-being means more to me than words can explain. She goes the extra mile to check on me and make sure that I am okay, and I appreciate the extra time, patience, and kindness she gives me. Sometimes, it is not just the medical care that matters, but the reassurance of knowing that someone genuinely cares about how you are feeling. I would also like to appreciate my night nurse Mandla, who has an incredible ability to notice when I am in pain, even when I do not say anything. That level of attentiveness is truly special. A good nurse does not only listen when a patient speaks; they also observe, notice the little things, and recognise when something is wrong. These are the qualities that make nursing more than just a profession. They make it a calling. And then there is the kitchen staff, who deserve just as much recognition. ❤️ I have been struggling to eat, but instead of simply accepting that I cannot manage my meals, they have gone above and beyond to find ways to help me get something into my system so that I can take my medication. From preparing smoothies to making me soft bananas with yoghurt, they have shown such thoughtfulness and care. They have even paid attention to my preferences, including making my favourite, Jelly and custard to encourage me to eat. That kind of effort may seem small to someone else, but when you are unwell and struggling, these little acts of kindness mean everything. What stands out to me is that these individuals are not simply doing their jobs. They are showing humanity, empathy, patience, and genuine concern for another person's well-being. They understand that caring for a patient goes beyond medication, observations, and meals. It is also about dignity, comfort, encouragement, and making someone feel cared for during a vulnerable time. I am truly grateful to Netcare Alberton for having people like these on their team and for giving them the opportunity to make such a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. To Linda Sepeko, my night nurse, and the wonderful kitchen staff: thank you for seeing me as a person, not just a patient. Thank you for the little things that are not so little to me, for noticing when I am struggling, for finding ways to help me eat, and for making sure that I feel cared for even on the difficult days. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed, and I sincerely hope that your efforts are recognised and appreciated. Healthcare needs more people who serve with their hearts, and I am fortunate to have experienced that kind of care at Netcare Alberton. Sometimes, the smallest gestures leave the biggest impressions. You have reminded me of that, and for that, I am deeply grateful. ❤️🙏

Christiaan Bernard
⭐ 1 STAR – Absolutely Disgraceful and Unprofessional Behaviour After 14 years of visits to Netcare Christian Bernard, I never expected to experience something so disappointing and embarrassing at a hospital I have trusted for so long. I would specifically like to raise a serious concern regarding Nurse Magmoudah and her unacceptable attitude and behaviour. I had already received permission from my treating doctor to have visitors. I was not acting on my own or disregarding hospital rules. I had the necessary permission, yet the situation escalated unnecessarily because of the way this nurse handled it. What made the situation even worse was that she was arguing and screaming at my older brother at the ward entrance. This was not only embarrassing and upsetting for me as a patient, but it was also uncomfortable for the nurses and fellow patients who were around and had to witness the entire incident. A hospital ward should be an environment of care, respect and professionalism, not a place where patients and their families have to witness staff engaging in heated confrontations. There is a difference between enforcing hospital policies and speaking to people in a manner that creates unnecessary conflict and embarrassment. After 14 years of trusting this hospital, I am extremely disappointed. My family was simply trying to visit me with the doctor's permission, and the situation could have been handled calmly and professionally through proper communication. I strongly urge hospital management to investigate Nurse Magmoudah's conduct and address how this incident was handled. Patients are already dealing with difficult circumstances, and families should not have to endure this kind of experience while trying to support their loved ones. Fourteen years of trust, reduced to one deeply disappointing experience. I sincerely hope management takes this complaint seriously, because no patient or family should have to go through something like this. Absolutely unacceptable.

Would not advise this hospital ti friends or family
The doctors are really good Staff is really friendly My partner broke his foot Admitting him the process was quick and efficient The problem happened after The next morning he was still in the same clothes i left him there with he was not bathed or cleaned i had to wetwipe him down. Next day still no one came to clean him Doctor took long on purpose (even the nurses said he could have been discharged at 12 but the doctors took long. My partner had to hop down on cruches to look for the doctors. Eventually got discharged. My sister and i both went to fetch him, discharged took like an hour and we both went to look for a nurse to get the drip out (it was finished) there were 3 nurses in the hall and all of them averted their eyes when we tried to get their attention. Eventually someone came to help after we had ask the nurses 3 times Honestly this made the whole experience terrible. Imagine not being taken care of by the hospital you pay so much for

medical negligence at Netcare Krugersdorp Baby Clinic
Disgusting, childish treatment and medical negligence at Netcare Krugersdorp Baby Clinic I am absolutely appalled by the shocking lack of empathy and gross unprofessionalism displayed by the owner of the Mother and Baby Wellness Clinic at Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital. My minor son had a critical, time-sensitive medical examination. Because I am currently stranded in Pretoria with no transport, I urgently needed a digital copy of his vaccination record. To fully comply with POPI Act regulations, I sent them a copy of my ***, a live photo of me holding my ***, and my son's birth certificate. Despite providing absolute proof of identity, they refused to help. When I tried to explain the emergency, the clinic owner spoke over me, treated me with childish hostility, and refused to even look at the chat history or documents I sent. She completely weaponised paperwork to deny my son vital medical records, showing zero regard for my son's health. Netcare claims to care about patients, but allowing independent clinic owners to bully and humiliate desperate parents under their brand name is disgraceful. I demand a formal investigation and a written apology from this clinic owner for her abusive conduct.

Misdiagnoses Achilles Rupture from unqualified doctor
I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience at this hospital's Emergency Department. Following a padel accident, I was unable to walk and went to the ER specifically to determine whether I had ruptured my Achilles tendon. The person who attended to me briefly examined my leg and assured me that everything was fine and that there was no serious injury. Trusting this assessment, I flew back to Pretoria, where I decided to seek a second opinion from a specialist. To my shock, I was diagnosed with a 6.5 cm Achilles tendon rupture, which required immediate surgery that very same day. What made the situation even more upsetting was discovering, after raising my concerns with the hospital, that the person who had examined me was not a qualified doctor, but a student. This was never communicated to me during my visit. Despite bringing this serious matter to the hospital's attention, I was extremely disappointed by their response and unwillingness to accept any responsibility. As a patient, especially in an emergency situation, you place your trust in the medical professionals treating you. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling that this trust had been completely broken. I am deeply disappointed in both the medical care I received and the way my complaint was handled. Based on my personal experience, I would never return to this hospital, nor would I feel comfortable recommending it to anyone else.

Complaint Regarding Netcare Mulbarton Casualty
Hello Peter, I would like to raise a serious complaint regarding my experience at Netcare Mulbarton Casualty, particularly concerning Dr. Combrink and the overall standard of care I received. Dr. Combrink discharged me and gave me two Ativan when I was emotionally okay at the time. What concerns me deeply is that I was then expected to drive myself home after being given two Ativan. I find this extremely concerning from a patient-safety perspective. I would like to understand how it was considered appropriate or safe for me to leave the casualty department and drive home in that condition. This experience has honestly left me very disappointed with Netcare Mulbarton. The hospital is not what I remember it being, and the standard of service and patient care seems to have declined significantly. Even before seeing the doctor, the experience was frustrating. You sit waiting for triage while staff members appear to be talking and spending time on their phones, while patients are waiting for attention. As a patient, it is extremely upsetting to sit there feeling that you are not being prioritised or taken seriously. The entire experience felt more like what I would expect at an overcrowded government hospital than what I have previously experienced at Netcare Mulbarton. I am not saying this to insult the staff or hospital. I am raising it because I genuinely believe there is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. Patients come to a private hospital expecting to receive professional, attentive and safe care, particularly when they are already vulnerable or unwell. I would appreciate it if this complaint could be formally investigated, particularly the circumstances surrounding my discharge, the administration of two Ativan, and the expectation that I could safely drive myself home afterwards. I would also like feedback regarding the concerns I have raised about the conduct and responsiveness of staff in the casualty department. I have always had a certain expectation of Netcare Mulbarton, which is why this experience has been particularly disappointing. I sincerely hope this matter will be taken seriously and not simply dismissed as another patient complaint. Kind regards,
