WORST TREATMENT AT UMHLANGA HOSPITAL 10 AUGUST 2023

The procedure went well. Just in lots of pain, Legs are slightly numbed(the sister said it's normal) but can walk to the loo and the bed slowly. Done a blood test for autoimmune disease as well .whew, I'm tired by now. Treatment in the ward was appalling,they were supposed to give my meds when i came back from theater (chronic , I had to remind them at 11 no water by my bedside as well) then the sister done her walkabout with another lady in navy blue ,i asked for pain meds ,she saiid its due at 1pm ,no one came or checked on me.(Umhlanga hospital )10/08/2023 No TV or call button (no where in sight), not even a bin by the bedside .My husband asked where is the remote ,if I had an emergency ,how do i notify them?they both look stunned like!!!! .I sent the lady from Lancet who came to take my bloods to please call them , no one came to assist. "You can hear them laughing and talking in the front by thier station , they loud!"Enthabeni hospital staff would never do this ,they are great" By now, I'm fustrated, My hubby called them , and they said they would call the doc this is about 11:45. When the sister came at 12 with another lady dressed in navy,they said my meds would come at 1(this was for show,like my incidents beforehand at this hospital) I go there because my doc thats where my neurosurgeon is based) Hubby came at 3:10 to visit,I told him the story. They eventually came to the ward and when I asked about the lack of treatment , the nurse looked scared and shocked,because I told them I don't want lies and stories, I'm calling my doctor now. She said no, please don't call him. I'm sorting it out now. "I asked if her if the called the doctor ,which was advised to my husband , and they said "no. " By now, I told them exactly what I thought of their service and how they treat patients is not acceptable. I told her to take out the needle from anesthetic (imagine)it was bleeding ,there was no way I was going to stay overnight, my house is my safe place by now ,I need peace and calm,most importantly healing,i am just out of theatre ..... I'm now leaving ,it's 3:45 they want to ask the porter to collect me ,I said I am walking and taking the lift ,asked where's my sick certificate, they said will check with docs rooms . They then called my doctor 3:48 ,or so (my husband was waiting while this call is happening) at that time an appointment for my monthly check-up date was given!! I told her if they had done their job properly ,I would have had everything sorted,but because they are not doing their job properly, I must wait ....😡 I'm in pain and fustrated'Nkot to mentiona busting headachhe!!!! Not forgetting they brought my pill to take at the time I'm complaining 3:35, ,(im an idiot ,Hey)so I asked why are the meds given to me now! they were both looking stunned ,as before .(I'm angry so times are here and there)Please understand. I just cannot fathom why we paying so much , are there no checkups been done to see patients are treated with proper care and humanity I'm at home now in pain but safe and happy. FYI my doctor will be receiving a copy.
