Worst Service for a Private Hospital

Netcare Garden City Hospital in Mayfair West Johannesburg on Thursday the 8th of April 2021 with my 5 years old son who was injured from boiling water. We were referred to hospital by doctor at medicross Princess after she checked my son and said we have to see a pediatrician in hospital because the wound is too bad. She said she called the hospital to notify the doctor we on the way therefore we will be attended to soon as we get there.

We waited at casualty until I asked one of the nurses how long is it gonna take for the doctor to see my son she said to me we should wait patiently because patients that come in an ambulance are treated as emergency so I took it I'm not in an emergency because I drove to hospital if I came in an ambulance my son would be treated immediately, at least medicross had given him something for pain. We waited until it was our turn to see the doctor, then the doctor said we should come back the next day as a burned wound can be treated in 24 hours. I asked him did I wait 5 hours to be told to come back tomorrow? And if there's nothing much that can be done in the first 24 hours why was I referred to hospital? This is before he even checked to see how bad it looked.

Doctor with the nurse he was with said "if the mother wants us to do the exposure then let's do it. As if I'm teaching them how to do their job. I sent a complaint letter to the hospital on Friday the 9th but till today I haven't received any response.

I'll never recommend Netcare Garden City Hospital in Mayfair West Johannesburg to anyone. If anything there's no care at that hospital. A lot happend which proved to me that care is one of the things the hospital lacks.
