Worse hospital in South Africa Garden city

Firstly you do your pre admission. Then you have to wait almost an hour to be taken to your ward. When you get to the ward you not greeted letting you know where's the bathrooms or the remotes are and how they work. I've been admitted to other hospitals but I feel patients should have a run down on how things work. I was given a gown my operation was not asked if I needed assistance which I did because I had a knee problem. Then went to theater waited also am hour and a half freezing as I asked for a blanket in the ward and was not given one. At the theater staff keep coming and looking at my chart and asked me what I'm there for. This was quiet annoying Back from theater I was thirsty I asked for water from about 4 people. Eventually another patient gave me water. We shared a glass and water. That patient was Discharged I used that dirty glass for the 2 days as I was given that glass to brush my teeth. In the morning I was given a dish with water and a cloth I could barely move because if the pain for I just wiped myself where I could. I wore the same gown for 3 days. My linen wasnt changed. I was sweating and was given a pillow case which I had to put on myself. That pillow was so stained. The toilet is so tiny I barely could fit in with my crutches. The ward was dirty all the time as there's no bins near the beds so waste had to be left on the tables for days. I asked for food I was given 3 hours later. The meals are disgusting I think even prisoners are treated better. There is no variety and worse of all its tasteless. I could not go to the canteen to buy food because of my injury. But saying that why should I buy food. Supper is at 5 but by 8 I was hungry and they don't serve sandwiches to non diabetic patients. So you go to bed hungry. Meds are given late but at 4 in the morning you awoken for tea or bath. Then a comment was made that we pay cheap medical aid. I paid a CO payment of R7200. I addressed this with the unit manager who made many excuses. I am a smoker and told them I was given a wheelchair which I tried to wheel myself outside but I couldn't. There was this one nurse Omi Morris which is a true reflection of what a nurse should be. When you ring your bell you can wit up to 10 minutes and when they come they look at you in an irritated way like you bothering them from something more important. There are only 4 nurses on the floor how are they suppose to deal with all the sick people's issues. We had an old lady in our ward who couldn't talk but made noises the whole day and night which prevent me from sleeping even with pills. They were shouting at the poor old lady not feeding her on time or turning her. At discharge the porter had to wait in the queues for my meds which took at least 20 minutes what a waste of resources. Why can't your meds be ordere5and brought to the ward like other private hospitals As I do understand Covid has put pressure on the staff but we paying for service. The toilets and bathrooms are not cleaned daily. Hand towels to dry your hands are far from the wash and basin. This hospital is the worse private hospital I have ever been to. I will be contacting the media about the conditions there. The doctors are amazing.
