WE NEED ANOTHER HOSPITAL AS NETCARE ALBERTON IS USELESS

I would rather die on the street than EVER be admitted at this place!!

My father has been there for almost a week after a lung operation and the service especially in SECTION 3 is horrifying to say the least. Bells ringing on end with the nurses either ignoring them or they are just no where to be found.

On 1 March we went to visit and waited as we were told by the other patient in the room that my dad is in the shower. We waited and waited and my mom was just about to go and check if everything is OK, when my dad opened the door and just stood there. His toiletries all over the floor, water running and him ringing the bell for who knows how long with no one coming to assist!! If he had fallen in there what then???? Then he gets told but you should've told us that you were going to shower. Really?! That's why there is a bell incase you need assistance, but clearly they my dad was just ringing it out of boredom.

My dad was brought tea that he was told he must drink...... Only for them to place the tea on the trolley and place the trolley on the feet end of the bed against the wall and not even telling my father that it is there. Keep in mind he has had a lung operation and is struggling with memory at the moment. So how the #$%@ must he get up to fetch a cup, and use a walker at the same time, if he even remembers that it's there???

You have to ask atleast 3 times for something to be done, and then you are lucky if it gets done!! Bedding that is dirty being changed 2 days later, things being placed where you can not reach them.

I have never ever seen such bad service. The people there are really just there for the money and have no passion or sympathy for anyone in there.

We are really *****ed with the being the only hospital around now! Heaven forbid we need medical care
