Unitas Hospital Private or Goverment Hospital!!!!!

<p>Unitas Hospital general ward could just as well be located in a government hospital!!</p> <p>Why do we pay thousands for medical aid if the service received is just as bad or even worse than our government hospitals?</p> <p>Ward 1D and Ward 1A have unprofessional, "do-not-give-a-damn", salary grabbers as nurses!!!</p> <p>My mother-in-law has gone from bad to worst in Ward 1D due to nurses that did not listen to the person that knows her best (father-in-law) that she is getting worst, that she isn't eating, that nobody is giving her her meds, that her heartbeat is irregular, that her saturation is low!!!!! They just dot it down and move on. She was moved to High Care where it was a bit better but also not great. Doctors did not bother to speak to father-in-law and explain what is going on. Nurses just say "speak to the doctor". Then she was moved to ICU where she was not even given a pillow!!! Yes, not kidding! Folded blanket was put under her head. She spent 1 night there then moved back to High Care, the Physician mention her seeing things, being in another world etc. was not just due to medication but due to a small stroke! MRI was done day before and nobody said anything! This morning finally a Neurologist came around, said there is not a stroke as scans are clear. Told that she will be moved to general ward this morning as infection cleared and kidney function looks good. Only moved after 15:00 to one room (Ward 1A), which I complained about as it was all the way at the back of the ward, and had no curtains (looked like a government hospital only cleaner) she is still very delusional and will not know how to call for assistance. I was told that she is in isolation to ensure that she does not get an infection and that there will be someone with her at all times. Guess what!!!! She was moved again. Father kept on complaining that the drip is not working since this afternoon and only after shouting this evening did the head nurse scream and they did something. They did not bring her any food and father had to ask once again. Only put it down next to her, not caring if she eats or not.</p> <p>This is my promise today!!!!</p> <p>IF MY MOTHER GETS WORST AND MOVED AGAIN, SO HELP ME GOD I WILL SUE THIS HOSPITAL!!!!</p> <p>AS IT WILL BE DUE TO NEGLIGENCE!!!!!</p> <p> </p>
