Threatening customers with blacklisting without even doing their due diligence

I am writing you this email in response to yet again an sms I have reveived. Not even an email. An sms.

" Contact Sus Engelbrecht at ********** 748 or ********** re acc for Netcare N1 City Hospital to avoid ITC Listing. Amt 1288.04 Ref Nr ********** 997"

You have now gone so far as to threaten me with the ITC and my credit score as my account which should have been paid by Discovery in full is still due. Do you even know the legalities and steps you need to take before you are even allowed to Blacklist a person or make a complaint to the ITC. There has been no due diligence from your side and now a threat?

A few pointers that I want to lift out to you in regards to this matter.

1) Regarding the night I was admitted to hospital: When I got there I was told I am at the wrong hospital and that it doesnt fall into my Discovery Keycare network. I told them fine that I will go as the N1 hospital was not too far off. They however told me that I was not allowed to leave as they have to stabelise me. So question? If I am not allowed to leave and go to my Network hospital, how then am I liable as you forced me to use your services?

2) For 4 months I have been receiving sms's regarding a bill that is due but havent received an invoice and explanation why there is an outstanding amount. I even phoned the hospital twice to find out and was told that Netcare doesnt send out invoices anymore but only sms's. How does that even compute and where did I give permission to receive an invoice via sms. And what idiot would pay a amount into a random account by just an sms that was sent to him? Only after 2 reviews on Hellopeter.com did a representative post on Hellopeter your email adress to me. Not contacting me or anything even though my email and telephone number is listed on the complaint. I had to email your customer service to get an account only last month. Till today no one has tried to phone me or contact me otherwise. And now you dare to threaten me again via sms?

3) I am currently in conversation with my medical aid to as why they are not paying the account as according to their rules if its a life threatening moment they have to pay any hospital even out of my hospital network. So I am doing my part in finding out why the account wasn't paid.

So here is what I am now gonna do as you so blatantly threaten without even knowing the law and what you are allowed to do. I am once again going to post to Hellopeter.com and your Netcare facebook page the treatment and service you give clients. Then Im going to make a complaint to the ombudsman in the fact that you threaten me with the ITC without even doing your due diligence in this regard.

So please send me an email back as I would like to know all your replies to the above mentioned points as I want to put this into my report to the medical aid ombudsman.

Kind regards

Marius Nel
