What do they do? They DO NOT relieve the immense pressure beneath my fingernail. No, they have me bathe it in alcohol and then get an X-ray... this is what cost thousands. They then get me Ibuprofen -- the weakest pain medication. It did not work at all. I ended up being in sleep-depriving agony for a week before visiting another doctor who was able to help me.

Also, get this: in order to be seen within an HOUR, I needed to call the head of surgery (a friend) to push me ahead of everyone else in the ER. This should not happen. I came in half an hour after having my finger smashed in a car door, and it took an hour for me to just be seen by a nurse. I wish I just skipped this step because it was such a big waste of money.
