The bay hospital

I'm writing this complaint with a very heavy heart due to the way my 85 year old grandmother was poorly treated at the bay hospital.

She consulted with her doctor this morning and was told to go for preadmission where she signed forms and was she was getting admitted and she would have to wait for a bed. She waited from 11 till i knocked off from work after 17:00, bought them food and drinks as they were already so tired and hungry from waiting since morning. We sat there till 21:00pm. The guy that was assisting us was asked multiple times by different family members how long we would have to wait,he kept saying we must just wait they were still preparing a bed for her. We asked for the head of the hospital a lady came she assured us she would get our grandmother a bed as she knew how tired she must already be. When the shift was changing a different head came, a man. He told us that our grandmother along with her daughters who are also both over 60 years old have been in fact sitting there all day for nothing as our grandmother was not getting admitted today she would only get admitted the following day before she goes to theater. Our grandmother sat there in the cold, coughing, hungry tired with a sore back in a nappy for nothing. We asked the head why we were not told to go home after signing the forms he said he doesn't know anything he just entered the new shift. We asked him how he can help,he told us he can get us a bed locked up somewhere and a family member would have to stay and tend to her because there are no nurses that can help her. We asked him why he isn't addressing the man that kept us to waiting for a non-existant bed all day who was sitting at the reception desk, he told us he is leaving because he felt attacked us. We told him he was leaving because he wanted us to leave anyway because there was no way he could help us. They inconvenienced qn old lady for no reason at all.We told them that we were not happy and we wanted to lay a complaint. They always give us poor service because the same thing happend to my mom last week where she waited all day for a hospital bed.

Please attend to our complaint as soon as possible as we are very unhappy with service we received. We are already upset with her diagnosis and this I'll treatment was uncalled and unnecessary, we would like for this incident to be looked into and addressed so that no other elderyly sick patient ever has to experience such poor service.
