Thank you for loving our children

On 18 Oct 15, my husband and I rushed our baby to Linmed Casualties as he had a very high fever and was very sick. They did a stomach xray and diagnosed him with an obstructed bowel and advised that he needed surgery. They referred us to the paediatric surgeon at Clinton hospital and arranged that we go there by ambulance. Upon arrival at Clinton, the Peads surgeon advised that surgery is not necessary and that it was a misdiagnosis. However, he referred us to Dr Ntwaza, who diagnosed my son with Tonsillitis, Bronchitis as well as Pneumonia. We were quite relieved that he did not need surgery, but still shocked that that surgery was the first diagnosis for a 1 year old. Nonetheless, we stayed at the Clinton hospital and I need to commend each and every nurse in the Paediatric ward as they loved and cared for my baby as if he was their own. I left there with a smile and a very happy mommy. Each time there was a shift change, the nurses came to our room to greet us and make sure that all was still ok, when I pressed the call button, a nurse would enter the room with a smile on her face. Their priority was caring for the children and their wellbeing! Well done team!!!
