Terrible treatment by staff at Netcare olivedale hospital

Can honestly say I’ve never had a worse experience in my life. What happened to the days when healthcare personal actually cared about the patient? I am at Olivedale Netcare hospital. My blood pressure is very high and I feel awful. I am medically insured with one plan who does not cover casualty visits unless admitted. I did however agree to pay myself.

Not only was I almost knocked off my feet by a dr who was screaming at the nurses while I was walking into the er where the beds are and walked straight into me ( tall male) almost knocked me right over. Didn’t even notice me/ but the receptionist demanded I pay my bill right now and when I said I can’t because I need my laptop which is home. She brought me a AOD that she demanded I sign without even providing me with the amounts.

I get you guys need payment, but I cannot do I without my laptop. When I leave to go to er it’s because I am feeling absolutely dreadful. I don’t think to take my laptop with me.

But the treatment I received today is utterly disgusting. I have been here since around 2. It’s now 16:48 not one person has checked my bp or asked if I am okay. Honestly can 100% say this hospital only cares about money and the well-being of their patients takes the very back door.

It’s so sad that this is what the Netcare group has come to. I feel absolutely terrible and the staff only make you feel worse
