Stay Away from Netcare Waterfall

Just relocated to JhB and compared to Netcare Umhlanga hospital (DBN); Waterfall has the worst service and I will never using it again. 2 incidencies within a week. 1. We had the worst service for our birth. Froom poor hospitality at admission, no reception at maternity ward, long delay before giving birth due to shortage of staff, confusion over vaccination for our baby, poor service from night staff during my wife’s stay, lateness of food etc. Staff was not rude, but we got the sense they were under pressure. List is endless.

2. A week later, my wife issues wit her c section and we had to go to emergency room. Although it was empty; service was Very slow. It took them 10min to open a 3 page folder, 3 pages was an agreement of who is liable in case med aid doesnt pay, another 15min for the Dr/Nurse to examine. All of this while my wife is in excruciating pain. One guy struggled to insert a drip properly and he kept saying ‘dont move’. We told him him off and he muttered ‘am not dealing with you guys’ and he went called the Dr. Nurse Kea took over and helped my wife, and she was very good….but despite that; we will never use this hospital ever again. No sense of urgency, nor proper resources.
