On the 2nd December 2014 we took my son to Parklands hospital after he was very ill, the doctor on duty (Dr KK Pillay) ordered him to go for an exray and an abdominal scan. I asked them to check if it was not his appendix. After all the tests were done, i was told that it definately was not his appendix. We were given a prescription to get medication and went home as there were no bed available. Just two days later he was rushed to St Augustines hospital where he they ran the very same tests as Parklands and discovered that it was indeed his appendix and now his appendix had ruptured. He was rushed into surgery and operated on. I was very upset as you can imagine (also 5months pregnant with twins). I cannot understand how it was not picked up at Parklands and it was life threatening.

I am still receiving statements from Parklands that i need to pay accounts, all the accounts have now been paid, after receiving threatening letters that they will be sending me to the attorneys. I cannot understand why i need to pay even though my son was misdiagnosed and he could have died if i did not take him to St Augustines where we received such excellent treatment!
