Rude and unprofessional nursing staff
My sister in law was admitted to ICU and two days later transferred to the ward. When her kids came to say hello to their mom they had not seen in 4 days, they were literally chased out by a male staff nurse. Trying to tell him that they just had to see that their mother was OK and then they would go to the cafeteria was not good enough for him. What he was busy doing in the ward during visiting hours was unknown. 2 days later another staff nurse came in and again was very snotty to the visitors. This was taken up with management and an e-mail was send to the hospital manager, but she has not felt it important enough to react at all or at least acknowledge the complaint. All I wanted was that they should teach the staff nurses to go on a basic introductory course to say good morning and good evening when they talk to visitors who also happen to be human beings and to try and stay out of the wards during visiting hours unless medically necessary. This was unacceptable
