Poor Service at Netcare Olivedale A&E

My mother in Law went to Olivedale A&E for an extremely painful back muscle spasm. She is battling with a muscle spasm and needed some relief of the pain and the A&E Physician suggested an MRI which my Mom in Law said her Medical Aid won't cover. So what does this quack do you may ask? He sends her home with a handful of pills which takes much longer to take action than an injection. Now you expect with pain of 8 to 9 out of 10 would illicit the need for an IM injection, but no this so called doctor gives her some pills. And guess what she is still in pain so bad that she is reduced to tears because of the pain she is experiencing. And this so called doctor, who studied for 8 years to practice, yes you read that right practice! Is satisfied with this. Doctor you should be ashamed of treating our Senior Citizens with such a lack of care and empathy as well as such disdain. You will notice that I am not involving the HPCSA as they will only slap you over the wrist with no real consequence for your actions. You should ask yourself if you.be satisfied with such poor treatment. And yes I am also a registered practitioner so I do believe I know what you should have done sorry I was not close enough to do it myself. But I want to tell you your treatment protocols are substandard and shameful to say the least. I am also sorry to report the this is done on a public platform and I have to use professional terms and a level of decorum that you don't deserve. So let me put it plainly our Seniors deserve better than this and you.know it. They built this country by the sweat of their brows and you are benefitting from it. Have some respect and treat them with the respect that you yourself would expect for yourself and your family not this that you gave my mother in law, this poor level of care that you think is good. In fact if this is the level of care you afford your patients maybe you should consider another career or go and practice in a front line PHC clinic where such treatments are deemed acceptable. Netcare. I can't believe your level of care has dropped this much. Shameful really shameful
